I am a postdoc in mathematics working in the group of Amador Martin-Pizarro at the University of Freiburg. I did my PhD under the supervision of Zoé Chatzidakis and Martin Hils at the École Normale Supérieure Paris where I defended it in July 2025. Prior to that I completed my Bachelor and Master in mathematics at the University of Münster.
My research interests are in model theory and its applications and interactions with number theory. I am particularly interested in (estimates of) character sums over finite fields and how they can be used model-theoretically. On the model theoretic side this involves questions around continuous logic, elimination of imaginaries, higher amalgamation, etc.
More concretely, in my thesis I studied the model theory of (the common theory of) finite fields with both additive and multiplicative character as well as of the algebraic closures of finite fields with a symbol for the Frobenius automorphism and an additive character on the fixed field. Both extend the work of Hrushovski. Prior to that I worked on metric valued fields in a continuous logic setting.
